As a neuroscientist and clinical psychologist, I now work to promote well-being in academia. I work one-on-one with post-grads, postdocs, early career researchers and faculty to help reduce burnout, overwhelm, anxiety and fear. My goal is to foster a dialogue regarding the well-being and performance of our academic community (I have a particular fond spot for neuroscientists) and I hope to widen the scope of that discussion with ALBA.

I joined ALBA because :
My personal connections to cognitive aging disorders have led me to take interest in and become involved in community programs aimed at supporting individuals living with with dementia. Through disseminating research, facilitating support groups, and leading classes to educate about brain health and healthy aging, I am able to connect with individuals affected by such disorders while serving hard-to-reach populations and practicing science communication. I believe that ALBA will help me further limit bias and connect with others who come from underserved groups to better advocate for science communication, and hopefully adoption, with people of all groups.
