Generally, I strongly support equity, equal opportunity, and diversity. As a neuroscientist, I hope to contribute positively to the Alba network aims and activities.

I am joining Alba because as a bisexual woman I fell underrepresented and sometimes not being part of the "normal" traditional scientific community. I often face professional situations where I am the only woman since the field of research in neuroscience is sometimes all men driven. I would be part of a global community where diversity, equity, and inclusion are part of the scientific and the educational path.

I joined ALBA to promote diversity and equity in the neuroscience community. I support ALBA's mission and would like to learn more about the various facets of diversity as well as promote awareness in the community.

I was introduced to the Alba at FENS 2020, where I attended various (read, all) sessions organized by the network and was instantly curious about the diversity and the vision of this community. I am looking to be part of a scientific community where, in addition to science, the ethics of it are valued equally. Being part of such diverse group of people would be an enriching experience to share.

To learn more about recent research

I am working in the area of nanomedicines-based drug delivery systems to target the brain disorders. I find this ALBA network which promotes CNS disorders related activities and supply informations in the same area of research.

I would like to get connected with fellow researchers and for networking.

I am a exploring the effect of Yoga, meditation and breathing techniques on human brain and cognitive functions

My strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the international neuroscience community is the reason I am excited to join the ALBA Network. Having worked in a variety of educational and research environments on several continents, I am aware of the influence that a diversity of viewpoints can have on advancing scientific advancement. As a researcher and educator, the goals of the ALBA Network to advance inclusivity are in line with my own beliefs and experiences. I think that by joining this network, I will be able to support efforts that promote underrepresented communities in neuroscience in addition to growing my professional network. In addition, I intend to work with like-minded individuals to address some of the issues that the neuroscience community is experiencing, especially in terms of advancing worldwide access to education and cutting-edge research opportunities.

My area of research is basically focusing on development of alternative models for neurodegenerative diseases. Joining ALBA gives me opportunities for professional development and to interact with neuroscientists.

In society discrimination on various basis has always been there. It is unfortunate to have the same thing in the science and research field where we work together for the better tomorrow. Even if it is there due to any kind of regionalism, it is not good. I was so happy to learn about ALBA that I simply fall into love with it. This is something which should be there as a normal-norm in scientific society at least. Yes, of course, I believe ALBA shall bring this new light of equality and togetherness in all of us in the coming few years and that is why I want to join ALBA and work with my colleagues for the better tomorrow.

I'd like to be more involved in making the neuroscience community more diverse and inclusive.

I believe that active action is needed to help the underrepresented groups to overcome the additional hurdles in their scientific careers. The Alba network is an excellent initiative in that sense and I would like to help in any way I can.
