ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. We currently have 1890 individual members from 91 countries.

Alba stands for all of my values as a scientist with multiple marginalized identities (disabled, 2LGBTQIA+, economically disadvantaged, non-traditional student) and provides a space to commune & advocate for active support, inclusion, and representation within brain sciences. As a scientist & trainee fully open about my lived experiences to advocate for representation, it would be an honor to contribute to Alba’s crucial mission as a member.
