The Network

ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. I joined ALBA because :
I believe I share ALBA views in many ways. My actions and concerns are aligned with ALBA Mission. In my career, conscious awareness concerning inequities was progressively increasing. In part due to personal experiences, also through theoretical readings and mainly acknowledging the impact of them in the results of my research. Ironically, worldwide tragic events from 2020, allowed that these introspections and isolate initiatives become visible and unsilent. My affiliation with ALBA will help me to find other people who share and support these values, to learn from them and in synergy make stronger actions towards equity and respect to diversity.

I joined ALBA because :
In society discrimination on various basis has always been there. It is unfortunate to have the same thing in the science and research field where we work together for the better tomorrow. Even if it is there due to any kind of regionalism, it is not good. I was so happy to learn about ALBA that I simply fall into love with it. This is something which should be there as a normal-norm in scientific society at least. Yes, of course, I believe ALBA shall bring this new light of equality and togetherness in all of us in the coming few years and that is why I want to join ALBA and work with my colleagues for the better tomorrow.
