I am quite keen on countering health inequalities and under-representation of black professionals within the neuroscience community, and ALBA has that as part of its objectives.

By joining ALBA, I hope to help promote diversity and inclusion in neuroscience through connecting scientists from underrepresented regions to supportive networks. I will also work on developing meaningful mentorship programs and on assisting scientists to have access to technology transfer.

Your reply to the paper by Alshebi et al. made me aware of your network.
I beneffited greatly from metnorship, and find it wonderful there is a community within neurosciences to support this.

I believe that in order to prevent and control the neurodegenerative disorders, multidisciplinary approach should be implemented. That's why I am joining ALBA Network.

because I'm very interesting in neuroscience

I found this organization interesting, as I believe there is still a long way to go until neuroscience can finally say that it represents all groups of humans not only as study subjects but also as thinkers and idea generators.

I'm a full-time professional scientific editor. In my current role, I oversee a portfolio of journals focusing on neurology, neuropsychopharmacology and translational neuroscience.

As an editor, I'd like to help reduce gender discrimination in these fields, and help women neuroscientists not only to get published but also to cut their teeth into peer review and editorial roles, either as academic editors or in publishing.

I encourage people who are keen on getting more experience in authoring and peer reviewing scientific articles, as well as those who are interested in getting in editorial board roles to get in touch with me - women are generally underrepresented as authors, peer reviewers and editors and this is something I would like to help change.

Moreover, I'm happy to answer questions and give talks about becoming a professional scientific editor - it's a little known career path, but many professional editors feels it enables them to have better work-life balance than working in the academia, while still making the most of their experience in and passion for science.

My research background is primarily in electrophysiology and behavioural neurogenetics (and yes, like so many of us, I've been assumed to be the secretary!) so the mission of ALBA is very close to my heart.

I wish to join Alba in order to enhance the global representation in neuroscience of scientists working in developing nations.

As part of the Department of Neuroscience and Human Development at UNILOGOS and a neuroscience researcher, I want to make agreements with institutions and meet researchers in neuroscience and human development.
