ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. We currently have 1890 individual members from 91 countries.

When I saw the Alba network, I thought that as a female brain researcher living abroad from my home country, having community where I could be together with researchers all around the world with diverse background is very fundamental for sharing ideas, helping and networking. I am just starting as a researcher and many sides of scientific environment are just becoming visible to me so the mission of ALBA is very close to my heart. As I progress with my career I wish to be able to offer support to other young researchers who might be struggling with similar issues I am dealing with now. I am also looking forward to connecting with my older colleagues to if possible get some knowledge from more experienced researchers.
