I agree with the groups mission to improve diversity and representation in neuroscience and would like to help achieve this goal.

I've decided to join Alba in an effort to promote greater diversity and equity in neuroscience research.

I am joining the ALBA Network because it aligns with my commitment to promoting equity and diversity within the brain sciences. The ALBA Network, established by FENS, IBRO, and SfN, provides a global platform to address and reduce disparities in neuroscience, supporting the inclusion of underrepresented voices and perspectives. By joining, I aim to contribute to the network’s mission of creating a more inclusive research environment, where diverse backgrounds and experiences can drive innovation and enrich the field. Being part of ALBA will allow me to connect with like-minded professionals, collaborate on initiatives that enhance access and opportunities, and support systemic change within neuroscience communities worldwide.

I want to encourage more people like me into the field. persons of colour are very under represented in our fields, especially in leadership positions.

I am eager to expand my collaborative network

I would like to share my scientific experience, expand opportunities for collaboration on brain research.

I strongly believe that diversity makes us better and stronger.

I'd like to be part of the mission to tackle discrimination and increase diversity in neuroscience community at multiple levels.

I am interested in the resources and activities that this Network has to offer. I am active in in gender and equity policies in my region and I would like to interact with like-minded people at a global level.

To support women in neuroscience.

Because I want to engage in collective action for diversity, equity and inclusion in neuroscience. As a cis-white male with a professorship in Germany, I understand it as my duty to work twice as hard for this cause, given the undeserved privilege that I am treated with. At the same time, as a person with disability (severe hearing loss), I have experienced exclusion and can identify underlying mechanisms.

Because Alba promotes diversity and inclusion in Brain science and facilitates education and Mentoring. Being part of this network will help and allow me to learn from my peers and be a part of the chain to make this more effective wherever I am.
