Joining Alba is an excellent opportunity to expand my network, share research and life experiences, and learn from others. I am deeply passionate about addressing systemic inequities, particularly those affecting women and other underrepresented groups.

One of Alba's mission is to give better visibility to under represented groups in brain research. I support this.

Want to learn about, and become more involved in, efforts to diversify neuroscience and support underrepresented trainees.

This organization was brought to my attention and has overlapping goals with others that I have been engaged with for some time.

I am already a member of the GSD working group, and am passionate about inclusion of minorities, especially LGBTQIA+ people, in neuroscience.

I am a neuroscientist by training who has dedicated her career to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the sciences. I am the Executive Director of Ciencia Puerto Rico, a nonprofit that seeks to celebrate, give visibility to, and empower the Puerto Rican scientific community and allies. I also hold a position as Director of the Yale Ciencia Initiative in the Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion of the Yale School of Medicine, where I lead national programs to promote the career success of scientists from historically-excluded or marginalized backgrounds. Finally, I am the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion of the Wu Tsai Institute, which is establishing an inclusive community at Yale for all who are interested in advancing understanding of the mind and cognition.
