ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. As a mid-career MD PhD female, I struggle to find balance between research, clinic, teaching, academic life and private life. I don't think there is an easy answer to this glass ceiling, but I am supportive of initiatives to support minorities and equity in my field of psychiatric neuroscience.
