I am joining because it seems a great way to meet people who share the same experiences in life where the common ground is neuroscience.

I am joining Alba because I think changes in Science need to be done. Because I believe in equality and diversity and in a more ethical Neuroscience and because I would like to take part in the process while we accomplish it.

I like its vision and the activities it organizes, so I would like to know a bit more about it. Also, a lot of my female scientists role models are part of Alba.

I want to join this collective because I think that equity is very important, and currently there are many groups that are not represented; from gender, sexual orientation or religion. I want to contribute what I can so that this is not the case and we evolve to a more just society, and neuroscience.

I would love to join Alba as I learn how this organization fights to provide equal rights to everyone who wants to research. This is one of my personal goals as a scientist. I love to understand how the brain works but above that, I would love to help everyone to pursue their dreams as I am doing myself. Particularly the minorities.

Because I want to help in promoting best practices to counteract bias, and I want to contribute for providing networking to promote careers for members of underrepresented groups.

I am here to express my interest in joining Alba Network community as a young women neuroscientist (junior PI and group leader in Sevilla, Spain). As someone who is passionate about advancing our understanding of the brain, I believe that Alba Network offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow as a scientist.

In order to achieve equality among all researchers (and in society, in general), it is necessary to create structures and networks that serve as support, to identify problems and, above all, to seek solutions. Collective actions such as those that Alba intends to carry out are the best strategy.
