I am a PHD Scholar studying neuropsychological correlates of monochromatic blue light, specifically theta activity generating sources and the pathway it follows which is influenced by various endogenous and exogenous factors. I want to join ALBA to connect to scientists and students working in the field of neurosciences worldwide and work along with the teams to broaden my horizon of understanding in the brain research areas and can work more efficiently. I want to keep myself actively involved in it and be updated of the groundbreaking researches which would, in turn, help me work better in this field.

I am a hign school graduate passionate about Neuroscience, and access to the field has been limited to me in more ways than one. Joining ALBA would help me find and make use of resources, an amazing professional network, amd mentorship, that would help me advance in my career and achieve my neuroscientific pursuits. Furthermore, as a Lived experience OCD researcher, ALBA's values of diversity and inclusion deeply resonate with me.

I had been fascinated by Neuroscience since my school days. One of the primary reasons was overhearing occasional talks in the family about nerves after a family member was diagnosed with a condition. I also am deeply fascinated by the functioning of the brain and the central nervous system (especially after watching the movie Lucy).

As I am nearing the completion of my thesis from NIMHANS and preparing to join Siddaganga Medical College as an Assistant Professor in Physiology, I am eager to establish my own neuroscience research lab. ALBA provides a valuable platform for fostering collaborations, accessing mentorship, and securing grants that will support my research goals. Through ALBA, I aim to connect with like-minded neuroscientists, contribute to diversity in brain research, and advance neuroscience in India.

I am working in the area of nanomedicines-based drug delivery systems to target the brain disorders. I find this ALBA network which promotes CNS disorders related activities and supply informations in the same area of research.

I am a exploring the effect of Yoga, meditation and breathing techniques on human brain and cognitive functions

My strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the international neuroscience community is the reason I am excited to join the ALBA Network. Having worked in a variety of educational and research environments on several continents, I am aware of the influence that a diversity of viewpoints can have on advancing scientific advancement. As a researcher and educator, the goals of the ALBA Network to advance inclusivity are in line with my own beliefs and experiences. I think that by joining this network, I will be able to support efforts that promote underrepresented communities in neuroscience in addition to growing my professional network. In addition, I intend to work with like-minded individuals to address some of the issues that the neuroscience community is experiencing, especially in terms of advancing worldwide access to education and cutting-edge research opportunities.

My area of research is basically focusing on development of alternative models for neurodegenerative diseases. Joining ALBA gives me opportunities for professional development and to interact with neuroscientists.

In society discrimination on various basis has always been there. It is unfortunate to have the same thing in the science and research field where we work together for the better tomorrow. Even if it is there due to any kind of regionalism, it is not good. I was so happy to learn about ALBA that I simply fall into love with it. This is something which should be there as a normal-norm in scientific society at least. Yes, of course, I believe ALBA shall bring this new light of equality and togetherness in all of us in the coming few years and that is why I want to join ALBA and work with my colleagues for the better tomorrow.

My current research is based on Parkinson's disease. PD is a motor disorder associated with the dopaminergic neurodegeneration in substantia nigra pars compacta. The objective of my research is to formulate nanoparticles of the gold-containing compound to improve its bioavailability in rat brains. . Considering the motive of this program which is to inspire and educate early-career neuroscientists and emerging researchers entering the neuroscience community. I would gain knowledge and experience regarding various neuroscience workshops and conferences. Since I am a research scholar, I do not have funds to cover travel expenses of international conferences, joining ALBA will help me to apply for such conferences.
