I joined ALBA because :
As a passionate young neuroscientist, I have explored various areas of brain research in my career so far. I transitioned from neuronal cell biology in my PhD at IISER, Pune, India; to cortical developmental disorders research in my postdoc at IFM/INSERM at Paris, France.
During this journey I had several opportunities to mentor young students and it was one of the most rewarding aspect of my work. Being able to train and inspire young minds into pursuing not only basic brain research but also discussing their innovative approaches enriched me as a teacher and mentor. For me being an ALBA member would help sharpen this aspect and I would be privileged to be part of a dynamic community during my career.

I have been working in the field of neuroscience for the last 23 years. I have a physical disability since I had a car accident when I was 12, and I have been every lab I have been working the first and only disable person for long time. I would like to use my experience to help others and to improve the working condition and also the perception of the disable people working in science.
