To expand my network within the field of neuroscience, I'm seeking to connect with individuals who share my passion for the subject. I strongly believe that ALBA NETWORK can provide the platform I need to meet like-minded individuals and engage in enriching discussions about neuroscience.

I am currently working as a research assistant at I-GHHE at AUC. My research scope is Neurogenomics. I am working in the genomics research of Parkinson's disease. Joining Alba, which has a bundle of highly-influenced neuroscientists, will boost my knowledge and will open me new gates and ideas in neuroscience.

I am a big fan of Neuroscience. I can open new horizons for me and my passion by joining ALBA, so that I can much experience and make invaluable relationships with other researchers from the network. Joining ALBA may be the first step of my career.

Because I am interested in advocating for equity in research community.

To support this initiative and be part of this community. I trust that a future of self- and mutual- respect is achievable. Together.

I strongly resonate with the ALBA Network’s principles and would value the opportunity to join a global community promoting diversity and inclusion in neuroscience. I aim to contribute meaningfully to initiatives that empower researchers and help drive lasting, positive change within the scientific community where inclusion remains critically lacking.

Because I endorse its mission

Scientific progress relies on Human intellect and ingenuity, characteristics on which nationality, race or creed have no impact. However, biases do exist and have persisted for many years. We need to tackle these biases and ensure the scientific enterprise is pure and inclusive, providing equal opportunities to everyone, regardless of any factors other than intellect, interest and motivation.

I am joining the ALBA Network because I am deeply committed to advancing diversity and inclusion in brain science. The mission resonates with my values, particularly the focus on establishing best practices and curating resources to address bias and underrepresentation. I believe that hosting networking events at major conferences will foster collaboration and innovation, while the establishment of awards will recognize and celebrate the contributions of underrepresented groups.

Additionally, advocating for policy changes and creating a mentoring community are crucial steps toward building a more equitable field. I am excited about the opportunity to highlight success stories, which can inspire future generations of scientists. By contributing to a centralized database of diverse scientists, we can ensure that all voices are heard and represented in our community. Overall, I see my involvement as a way to actively participate in meaningful change within the scientific landscape.

Gender inequality is everywhere in the academia, from university position as professors, editorial bord of prestigious journal, prize winner and etc. If we want to increase awareness, networks like ALBA is the first step.

I believe that in order to prevent and control the neurodegenerative disorders, multidisciplinary approach should be implemented. That's why I am joining ALBA Network.

As I think it would help me evaluate my neural knowledge and help to achieve my goal.
