I am a young scientist, my first language is not English, so the opportunity to be a member of a society that seeks out underdeveloped countries and helps these researchers to disseminate their research in the academic community is an important point in my goal. As well as participating in scientific events outside my home country that are so expensive and sometimes inaccessible for PhD students. So, I would be very happy if I became a member of ALBA because it could impact my career to acquire networking opportunities and establish contact with researchers and professionals.

As a female young researcher/professor from an developing country, I would like to actively contribute to make the neuroscience field more equitable and accessible to all underrepresented groups.

I have been looking to be part of a group that has the aim to think about scientific life, scientific difficulties and how to survive to life challenge. I believe I will found it in ALBA.

I am joining ALBA to connect with a global network of neuroscientists committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the field. As a researcher I value the opportunity to engage with a community that fosters collaboration, knowledge exchange, and career development

I would like to be part of the Alba network due to its important work in promoting equity and diversity in the brain sciences. As a member of underrepresented group, its is important to receive the support given by the Alba team to recognize scientifc contributions and provide mentoring opportunities to promote careers and improve scientific research.

I am planning to apply to the ALBA prize in 2025.

I firmly believe and support initiatives for equity and inclusion. Alba network has already represented a strong leadership in advocating for under represented groups in neuroscience. I also have been recently benefited from one of ALBA's action. As a young researcher fellow I think it is interesting to have some guidance and mentorship, and can further contribute to promote e foster local initiatives.

I feel that organizations like ALBA can make science more diverse and inclusive and decrease some barriers faced by under represented groups.

As a PhD student from Brazil, I am interested in building international networks and conducting high-impact research.

I believe creating an inclusive environment in neuroscience is extremely important and I want to know more about actions I can take to enable this

Brazil is a country that shows a lack of resources for research, making it challenging to perform projects and also reflecting a deficiency in building capacity. Therefore, there is a need to train more researchers to provide autonomy to analyze their data. Language difficulties can be an obstacle to learning, so courses in our language or with translation would be a pronounced help. Some regions of Brazil are also socioeconomically disadvantaged, which makes research almost incipient in these regions. Teaching researchers how to raise funds and conduct external collaborations would be essential. ALBA will support the goals of advancing inclusivity and promoting diversity in science, encouraging diverse perspectives in brain science and supporting equity to contribute to important scientific discoveries in neuroscience. So, joining ALBA would be an excellent way to contribute to these efforts to promote a more equitable and diverse global scientific community.

I believe that ALBA plays a key role in fostering diversity and inclusion in neuroscience. I am happy to be part of and contribute to such an important initiative.

I was very excited to attend the Alba network at the IBRO 2019 meeting. I certainly want to be part of this and collaborate for a more diverse science and education.

I'm really impressed with this Network and wondering how I hadn't come across with it before! The content that I've found here is simply inspiring - especially for being a woman. Getting to know the story of successful women brain scientists motivates me!
