The Network

ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. We currently have 1890 individual members from 91 countries.

I joined ALBA because :
I always struggled to voice the need of a healthy work-life balance and a positive work environment, as I though this would be a sign of weakness. I am proud now to be part of a network of scientists that supports these principles in science.

I joined ALBA because :
I want to join ALBA because I believe its mission is crucial for the advancement of science and society. I'm from Argentina and completed my bachelor's, Master's, and PhD in Europe. I'm concerned about the disparities in scientific opportunities that people encounter based solely on where they're born. I genuinely think that both the scientific community and society stand to gain from promoting greater visibility and providing equal opportunities for researchers from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
