Am keen to be involved with initiatives that encourage inclusivity in Neuroscience.

I am particularly interested in increasing diversity and inclusion in dementia research

I believe diversity and inclusion drive scientific excellence by fostering contributions from a broader talent pool with diverse perspectives. By joining ALBA, I aim to support EDI initiatives and help build a more inclusive neuroscience community. Plus, my Persian name translates to Alba – what are the odds?

I am passionate about promoting equality in neuroscience. I would like to connect with other individuals who are in underrepresented groups.

I have been involved in a Webinar by Rohini Kunher. I wish to get to know ALBA's initiatives and pro-actively support them.

I'm a full-time professional scientific editor. In my current role, I oversee a portfolio of journals focusing on neurology, neuropsychopharmacology and translational neuroscience.

As an editor, I'd like to help reduce gender discrimination in these fields, and help women neuroscientists not only to get published but also to cut their teeth into peer review and editorial roles, either as academic editors or in publishing.

I encourage people who are keen on getting more experience in authoring and peer reviewing scientific articles, as well as those who are interested in getting in editorial board roles to get in touch with me - women are generally underrepresented as authors, peer reviewers and editors and this is something I would like to help change.

Moreover, I'm happy to answer questions and give talks about becoming a professional scientific editor - it's a little known career path, but many professional editors feels it enables them to have better work-life balance than working in the academia, while still making the most of their experience in and passion for science.

My research background is primarily in electrophysiology and behavioural neurogenetics (and yes, like so many of us, I've been assumed to be the secretary!) so the mission of ALBA is very close to my heart.

I think it is key to promote diversity in neuroscientific research to enable us to develop treatments for diseases.

I would like to learn and promote visibility in science of under represented groups like myself. I would also like to collaborate and share with people about neuroscience.

I would like to contribute to the community and support my colleagues.
I am also EDI chair in the Organisation for Computational Neuroscience and would like to work together to support community of ALBA and community of OCNS
