The Network

ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. We currently have 1890 individual members from 91 countries.

I joined ALBA because :
I am an international PhD student in Neuroscience and I think joining the ALBA network will help me find better opportunities in academia.
I am seeking opportunities to engage and include myself in the neuroscience community and communicate better with other researchers in order to build a network for the sake of my career.

Cognitive neuroscience
Computational neuroscience and modeling
Developmental neuroscience
Disorders of the nervous system
Motor systems neuroscience
Analysis of behavior and cognition in humans
Bioinformatics/Neuroinformatics
Computation, modeling, and simulation
Imaging (PET, fMRI, etc)
I joined ALBA because :
When I saw the Alba network, I thought that as a female brain researcher living abroad from my home country, having community where I could be together with researchers all around the world with diverse background is very fundamental for sharing ideas, helping and networking. For this reason, I wanted to join.

I joined ALBA because :
I am just starting as a researcher and many sides of scientific environment are just becoming visible to me so the mission of ALBA is very close to my heart. As I progress with my career I wish to be able to offer support to other young researchers who might be struggling with similar issues I am dealing with now. I am also looking forward to connecting with my older colleagues to if possible get some knowledge from more experienced researchers.
