I strongly believe in the importance of inclusivity and of giving equal chanches to humans in all their diversities. It is crucial to tackle obstacles that prevent all people to take equal part in neurosciences and to develop their full potential in this field.

I am joining because I admire the values and politics ALBA is trying to bring to science, making it more inclusive and within everyone's reach.

I believe that ALBA's mission is fundamental for real and positive advancement in the field of neuroscience and that science will only be fair and balanced when all brain scientists will have equal exposure and opportunities.

I am eager to join the ALBA network because of its reputation for fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional development. I believe that being part of this community will provide me with valuable opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals, share insights, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in my field.

I am joining ALBA due to my deep passion for neuroscience and the recognition of the pivotal role diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) play in the field. There are so many inequities in the world, even in science, and I want to be part of the change.

The challenge posed by a complete understanding of the brain and its disorders is huge: we need all talents, all possible resources available, we need to be inclusive to move forward and to face this challenge.

I want to join Alba to stay updated and attend seminars on important topics like LGBTQ+ issues and mental health in the scientific field.

I've discovered Alba network creating my Fens account. I think it's mission is great.
I'm a woman in sicence in Italy , and I'm from the South of Italy, from Naples : two things ( being woman and southern) that, I think, is often source of discrimination in my country . In our labs, in Italy, there are always a vast majority of women at benches, but very very few at the apical positions in the scientific istitutions! Moreover Italian culture , also in science, need to be shaken , with more attention to diversity, gender balance, gender equality and , more generally, need to have more respect for differences.

Because I believe in the mission of Alba Network to shed light on underrepresentation in the science community and to participate in spread the word.

I would like to join ALBA network because I am a young woman PhD student that strongy believe there is no progress without diversity and different point of view, main components of excellence.

Because as part of underrepresented group in Science, (latin american woman) that works abroad, I consider crucial to give voice to us. Unfortunately, our realty is diverse, therefore the union is the only way to move forward. And to build a more conscious society.
