I joined ALBA because :
I have been aware of ALBA's efforts in making a inclusive culture in science. I have recommended some of the youtube videos and advertised events to trainees who I know. Some trainees have come back to me and thanked me for pointing out ALBA and its resources. I have engaged in community building activities through out my career particularly focused on trainees who struggle with English, come from under privileged backgrounds, 1st generation students and women. Several such students have also worked in my own lab. I would like deeper involvement with ALBA and think its mission is important worldwide.
