ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. I was introduced to Alba during a FENS meeting, in which I presented my PhD work. Alba increased my awareness to make science (and neuroscience) more inclusive, more responsible and more sustainable. As a dark-skin young woman passionate about science, I want to inspire younger generations to pursue their passion and gain higher academic position without their gender or their look acting as a barrier.
