Joining ALBA aligns with my experiences as a Taiwanese female neuroscientist in Berlin, where I've faced unique challenges. I'm eager to contribute my perspective, collaborate with diverse professionals, and promote cultural understanding within brain sciences. ALBA's initiatives will help me create a more inclusive research environment, directly impacting my field and the wider scientific community.

I would like to be connected with people around the world specialized in brain

I have been an elected student representative of our Bio faculty's equalty council for more than 3 years now, fighting for equal opportunities and diversity within my university. I would now like to take my efforts outside my institution and promote these ideas more globally. I would furthermore like to connect with similar-minded Neuroscientists of all levels in Academia, especially in light of the current pandemic's challenges on international networking.
It would be a joy and an honour to join the ALBA network and be a part of this much needed change!

I am joining ALBA to contribute in any way I can in promoting diversity (including gender equality) in science and society. I have been involved and coordinated various actions here in Cyprus to raise awareness on the challenges women scientist face and hope to leverage this cause through joining an international network like ALBA.

I love science and I am interested to learn more about neuroscience.
I believe ALBA would be a great platform for me to learn and nurture neuroscience.
More importantly, I want to reach out to society through ALBA.

I am very interested in contributing to increasing awareness to neurodegenerative disorders in my country (Egypt) and my continent (Africa). Neurodegenerative disorders are hugely increasing in our continent, however, we still lack the proper facilities and mindset to tackle this issue. Joining ALBA network will provide me with the DEI skills and good training opportunities to increase my technical and advocacy skills to help transfer this gained knowledge to my local and regional partners &students. It will provide a solid chance for the much needed and more equalized collaborations in this field in our country and continent.

I am willing to serve ALBA mission in the region by helping in developing capacities of the growing neuroscientists. As I have witnessed the development of neuroscience i the African continent over the last decade during which I have been actively involved in such process through building our own lab and serving IBRO as ARC member for 7 years. Serving ALBA mission represents continuity and suitability activities to support equity, diversity and inclusion in the field.

I seek to expand my network, as there is so much I want to do and little I know.

Because I want to increase the presence of women in science and in strategic positions i.e. decision makers. Nowadays it is very uncommon to find women at the same extend than men in events, committees, etc...

I'm intrigued about ALBA's mission to foster diversity, equity and inclusion in the neuroscience community. I have been serving the Healthcare Businesswomen Association (HBA), an international non-for profit organization to advance DEI in healthcare for many years and in different roles, currently as Advisor in a leadership program for our corporate sponsors.

My background is Neuroscience both from an academic and clinical drug development perspective. As Clinical Trial Head I successfully led a large multi-national neuroscience drug development team and helped to bring the first transdermal patch for dementia associated with Alzheimer's Disease, Exelon Patch, to market. In this process, I found my 2nd passion: developing people and organizations and enabling them to perform so they can advance medicine.

In 2020 I founded Science. People. Business. My mission is to advance healthcare through and with the right people in the right place.
In anticipation of the growing demand of experts and leaders in the Neuroscience R&D space, my ambition is to set up a Neuroscience Center of Excellence in Switzerland.

I have keen interest in learning and exploring neuroscience and its relevant implications in the field of research.
