Because as mid-career scientist and a woman, I feel represented and recognised. I am eager to join a network that promotes diversity and equality in science and offers the opportunity of mentoring.

I feel very much in tune with the goals ALBA intend to achieve, particularly the networking aspect that could promote collaborative science, mentoring, data access, be informed of putative collaborators who share common view of science and good practice, and how it should be conducted, to avoid or decrease the impact of powerful lobbies.

I've contributed to EDI in neurosciences through my activities as external consultat for the human brain project and are looking foward to share the experiences and to contribute.

I want to live in a world where there are equal rights for all to succeed in neuroscience and unfortunately that is not the case at the moment. Alba are trying to increase diversity and equity within brain science, which I fully support and wish to be part of!

Joining a society committed to promoting equality and inclusivity for neuroscientists presents numerous advantages. Firstly, it directly aligns with the objective of creating an egalitarian environment within this field, where all individuals can thrive irrespective of their background. By becoming a member, I can actively participate in creating positive, evidence-based strategies that increase diversity and foster inclusivity at all levels. This will not only augment my understanding of best practices in diversity and inclusion but also empower me to make meaningful contributions to the field. Furthermore, your society can provide me with abundant resources and learning materials, aiding you in bolstering your professional development. Lastly, through active involvement, I position myself as a promoter of change, serving as an ally to underrepresented groups – a step forward in personal growth and societal betterment.

I am interested in becoming an active member of the organization in order to contribute to the visibility of less-represented groups as well as the creation of international opportunities of collaboration to overcome this isssue.

I am committed to promote diversity in brain research

The improvement of diversity and equity in science is an important mission that I would like to support and help promoting.

I aspire to join Alba to advocate for diversity and inclusivity in science. With experience from Argentina to Germany, I’ve actively supported women scientists’ rights while advancing my research. Alba inspires me to amplify underrepresented voices, foster change, and contribute my knowledge to build a stronger, more inclusive scientific community.

I held several positions related to advancing gender equity, particularly in STEM and am passionate about contributing to this importnat cause

Our research funding agency is committed to supporting diversity. We became aware of the Alba Network when Prof. Erin Schuman (one of our four CRC Advisory Board Members) was awarded the 2020 Alba Diversity Prize. By joining the Alba Network, we hope to share Alba's news and events with our consortium members through our monthly newletter among other channels.
