I strongly believe in the importance of inclusivity and of giving equal chanches to humans in all their diversities. It is crucial to tackle obstacles that prevent all people to take equal part in neurosciences and to develop their full potential in this field.

I interested in connecting with other scientists in my field around the world to be able to share my work and generate meaningful collaborations.

Alba's goals (and approaches to achieve them) align nicely with my own goals and values, as I'm very passionate about promoting diversity and equity in science.

I want to help give better visibility to underrepresented groups in neuroscience, and I’m extremely interested in getting involved in activities that promote these populations. I have been working with the World Association for Cultural Psychiatry (WACP) for over 10 years to promote the inclusion of academics, scientists, and clinicians from underrepresented countries. Specifically, I have worked with the WACP journal, the WCPRR, which publishes quality research papers from these countries. I’m now the incoming editor-in-chief of the WCPRR. I want to work with the ALBA Network to help underrepresented neuroscientists. I’m hoping to learn from ALBA how to better facilitate underrepresented communities and to contribute the approaches that I’ve learned from working with the WACP.

I am the gender equality correspondent in my laboratory.

To be able to connect with neuroscientists around the world who advocate and step up for under-represented groups in science.

I became aware of Alba through colleagues with whom I am a member of the SIRS Diversity Task Force. I am very much interested in promoting the goals and objectives of Alba.

Nearly all the biggest research problems our world faces affect people of all different backgrounds, and all those people should have a place in science. I am proud to promote diversity and inclusion within neuroscience research and interested in how ALBA aims to achieve this.

I am interested in the networking, career development and community building activities of the ALBA Network. I admire the ALBA mission and want to be a part of it through membership and subsequent contributions.

It is crucial to improve the visibility and inclusion of female scientists in brain imaging (and STEM, in general). No change will happen unless we all contribute to achieve this goal.
