Although I mentored several women and shared with them my personal and professional background and experiences I have never joined a network of researchers aiming at working together towards better supporting researchers from under represented backgrounds. I believe that sharing experiences and having a more active role in a group like Alba will finally put me into more direct contact with researchers for under represented groups, become more visible and in consequence have a more active role in supporting young researchers that I could develop and mentor for the completion of a successful career in neuroscience.

I'm a young female researcher which feels strongly that implicit bias needs to stop. Equal opportunities should be being given to all. Alba presents as an important initiative to move the scientific world in that direction, and so I would be glad to be a part of it.
