From the initial days of my research experience, I was very much interested and intrigued about learning cellular and in-vivo animal models of neuroscience. I recently became an ALBA member and made a presentation on LGBT inclusion in brain science during the ALBA webinar on diversity issues in Latin America. The enlightening set of presentations and encouraging discussions during this webinar inspired me to boost my participation in the ALBA network. I believe diversity among members of leading teams is important for implementing comprehensive and inclusive policies. Thus, I considered that my personal history as a brain scientist born in Latin America and a member of the LGBTQ community could contribute to this goal.
