I have always been committed to advancing empathy, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of identities. As a first-generation college student and a recently naturalized immigrant, I am acutely aware of the uneven playing field many students, faculty, and staff face. I have also significantly benefited from collaborations with students, peers, and mentors of diverse backgrounds and identities.

As a PhD student from Brazil, I am interested in building international networks and conducting high-impact research.

I support the mission of the ALBA network. Joining means for me to continually self-reflect and see how I myself can help to improve the situation.

I am inspired to join the Alba Network to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in neuroscience, supporting underrepresented scientists through advocacy, professional growth, and community-building. Contributing to a culture that values all perspectives will strengthen scientific progress and inspire new generations from varied backgrounds to pursue brain science.

The precepts and objectives they promote seem very relevant to me, seeking egalitarian work networks and an environment of learning and collaboration at different levels within science, which I consider is fundamental in my career as a young researcher.

I am interested in equity in all fields; and I'd be glad meeting people with the same interests.

Over the past decade, I dedicated my professional career to developing tools that could demolish barriers between psychiatry, cognitive science, computer science, mathematics, and neuroscience, between the U.S.A. and Palestine, while integrating my scientific and medical training. My research spans treatment, symptoms, cognition, and neural layers to reimagine psychiatry and neurology while accounting for the variability across the different components, with no individual left behind. Taken from a community perspective, this research philosophy is the technical definition of diversity, equity, and inclusion, i.e., the core mission of ALBA. I avidly look forward to contributing to the ALBA mission and network.

To help promote diversity in neuroscience research and foster collaboration between work in animal models and human studies.

I'm a caucasian cis-male without handicaps, and that's why I'm here.

We are working in the field of neurosciences and we aim at finding new bioactive molecules to promote functional restoration and regeneration of injured nerve after an injury by using a rodent model. By joining ALBA, we will be able to be the part of this great community of neuroscientists.
