I am joining Alba to advance work that seeks to make clinical research more representative of the populations that they serve.

As a graduate neuroscientist with indept passion on the brain based research, I believe Alba will help in actualizing my dreams and also meet great neuroscientist in Alba

Being a female advocate, I would love to collaborate with Alba in order to actualize its mission which aims at building diversity and equality in neuroscience. It is a good forum to learn and network with international neuroscientist and researchers in order to keep abreast with recent research technologies

Equity, diversity, and inclusion in research elevates the entire community, but computational neuroscience is still a field where large sectors of the population are underrepresented and facing barriers to entry. We need to build strong networks to support the next generation of researchers.

As a research fellow recipient of a postdoc fellowship for women neuroscientists, I am interested in supporting the formation of women support networks to motivate young female researchers. I am also a founding member of Career Development Initiative at Charite University in Berlin, interest to learn more about this topic.

Because I believe that diversity is our strength in research specifically and in life in general. I believe that inclusive work environments contribute to maximal human flourishing

Since my first year of medical school, I have been always interested in neurology, especially neuro-oncology and the underlying molecular biology of developing brain tumors. I enjoy navigating and conducting research in the field of neuroscience. I recently published a review article on a novel oncogene that enhances malignant glioma progression: Astrocyte elevated gene-1. I am eager to maintain my interest in neurology and look forward to enhancing my knowledge and enthusiasm by being a member of ALBA Network. This membership may allow me to communicate with neurologists from all over the world and share our ideas and thoughts.

Being a young scientist constantly thriving to gain knowledge and advance as an independent researcher, I am joining the Alba Network with hopes to find an environment that nurtures my particular skills and provides much-needed guidance for my future efforts to explore neuroscience.

I have always been interested in promoting science to under represented groups & minorities. I feel incredibly lucky for the opportunities I had during my studies, and I want to help every single woman/girl to have the same chance.

To help promote and increase diversity within neuroscience, to keep informed about initiatives in that area, and to help with mentoring.

My research interest is in schizophrenia, a disorder which disproportionately affects black people in the USA/Europe. Black people also suffer from poorer outcomes once diagnosed. As a member of this under-represented group in neuroscience, I am passionate about improving these outcomes and I think that working collaboratively will be invaluable.

Through ALBA, I can connect with a global network of like-minded professionals, collaborate on groundbreaking research, and access resources designed to promote diversity in science. The mentorship programs are particularly valuable, providing guidance and support from experienced neuroscientists, which can help me navigate the challenges in my field. Additionally, being part of ALBA allows me to advocate for positive change and engage in initiatives that address crucial issues such as gender and ethnic representation in neuroscience. By joining, I not only advance my professional growth but also contribute to the ongoing efforts to make neuroscience more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
