I joined ALBA because :
Being a Turkish woman in brain research, I didn't have many role models growing up. To pursue my studies, I moved to Germany, where the scientific community is lively, but representation from non-European countries is still insufficient. My aim is to help improve visibility and recognition in Europe as a neuroscientist from my community.

I joined ALBA because :
Science will only grow if we do it altogether. More people, more views, more ideas: diversity is a key component to achieve this. Unfortunately, the world of today is still unfair with minority groups and neuroscience does not escape from this reality. Promoting diversity requires direct actions and engagement, and that is why I would like to join this ambitious and necessary initiative.
