I believe that Alba's mission to promote equity and diversity in the brain sciences field is imperative to advance the field. As an EDI representative at my institute, I would like to get inspiration from Alba's events and resources in order to organise my own ones in the future.

I wish to promote diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as promote best practices.

I have just heard about it from Francesca Cirulli in a zoom meeting and it look as great initiative to make research fairer.

I want to join a community that actively promotes neuroscience research, to learn from the at the fore-front of neuroscience and contribute my quota

I've heard about Alba for the very first time at IBRO's World Conference in Granada. There was a booth where some very intelligent women explained to me the whole purpose of Alba and that I should join it. Ever since I've been thinking about it. I think I belong to Alba because my committed nature has made me a very hard-working student and it has led me to leave the country to finish my Ph.D. outside my original country: Brazil. I was awarded a scholarship to live abroad for one year with all costs covered by the federal government. This is how much my country believes and invests in my education. Not everyone can say that where I come from. Also, I hope that in the future I can teach in Brazil everything I learned around the world and return all the investment spent on my education in the form of knowledge for future generations.

In conclusion, my path can be more difficult for being a woman, Latina, queer, from a middle-incoming country and many other difficulties, but I'm still making space for myself and for future female neuroscientists. If I can make it, they can make it too. However, nobody achieve great results alone and I think that's why I belong with Alba.

ALBA fosters a global, diverse community of neuroscientists dedicated to advancing research, education, and advocacy while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a scientist relatively new to neuroscience, from an LMIC country, I consider important to join ALBA.

By joining ALBA, I hope to help promote diversity and inclusion in neuroscience through connecting scientists from underrepresented regions to supportive networks. I will also work on developing meaningful mentorship programs and on assisting scientists to have access to technology transfer.

I would like to join Alba to be part of the promotion of equity and diversity in brain science. As a female member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I want to support and work with others like me as well as ensuring those from all underrepresented are heard and seen in brain sciences.

My goal in joining Alba is to gain informations about the question of inclusivity in scientific research, to collaborate with new individuals, and to stay informed about events related to neuroscience research.

I am interested in joining you because I want to be part of an organization that gives more visibility to neuroscience and its importance in global mental health. In addition, I want to contribute from my profession to other people who may need it.

Becoming a member give me the chance to develop further in high-level scientific and medical content, reinforcing capabilities, and discussing opportunities in the field of Neuroscience research, which will be an opportunity I shall seize with complete sincerity and commitment. Becoming a member of AlbaNetwork will be a pride. As a young neuroscientist joining Alba can improve my research career and grow my community.
