The ALBA Network launched the ALBA Declaration on Equity and Inclusion on 12 January 2021. This is a recording of the event.

The session was introduced by Prof Carmen Sandi who talked about the ALBA Network, its mission and its activities. Then Dr Megan Carey presented the ALBA Declaration on Equity and Inclusion: the goals ALBA wishes to achieve with this document, the process followed to write it and the major action points laid out in the text. In the second part of the event, each panelist highlighted specific elements of the Declaration and shared real-life examples of effective implementation.

The ALBA Declaration raises awareness on gender and diversity issues in brain sciences as well as disseminate positive practices countering discrimination. For more information, visit: www.alba.network/declaration
