XIX Meeting of the Portuguese Society of Neuroscience
Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal.
This one-hour interactive workshop will provide a space for open and constructive conversations on key equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) topics relevant to neuroscience, with a particular focus on the Southern European context. Participants will be invited to reflect on their own experiences, share perspectives, and identify practical steps they can take to foster more inclusive research environments—whether at the individual, lab, or institutional level.
The session is open to researchers at all career stages—from graduate students to senior scientists—and across all areas of neuroscience and related disciplines.
Following a short introduction, participants will be able to rotate between themed discussion tables, each led by an experienced facilitator. These small-group conversations are designed to encourage peer learning and collaborative problem-solving. The workshop will conclude with key takeaways and reflections from the table discussions.
