Alba's mission to give visibility to neuroscientists from underrepresented groups is very relevant to my situation. As a woman with a migrant background (originally from Turkey) living and working in Germany, and with a disability due to chronic illness, I face more challenges than my peers in managing my professional and personal life. I believe that joining Alba can provide me with the support I need in my academic life to overcome these challenges.
