Program manager/Administrator at University of Cambridge
United Kingdom Website
Gender: Female
Fields of research : Behavioral neuroscience Cognitive neuroscience History, teaching, public awareness, and societal
Reason of joining Alba Network :
I work as the Strategic Manager for Cambridge Neuroscience, an Interdisciplinary Research Centre within the University of Cambridge connecting >800 researchers across the University, who are involved with research into the nervous system. My role involves working with academics from across the University (including underrepresented groups) to support the interdisciplinary scientific community in neuroscience. This involves workshops, seminars, facilitating introductions and external interactions, an interactive website, communications and public engagement. I would like to bring the work of Alba to Cambridge and beyond (in my role as chair of FENS Communication committee).

Sylvie

Professor or equivalent position at Paris-Saclay Institut of neuroscience
France Website
Gender: Female
Fields of research : Behavioral neuroscience Cognitive neuroscience Disorders of the nervous system Neuropharmacology and neurochemistry , Analysis of behavior and cognition in humans Analysis of behavior and cognition in non-human animal Histochemistry and tracing Imaging (PET, fMRI, etc)
Reason of joining Alba Network :
I feel very much in tune with the goals ALBA intend to achieve, particularly the networking aspect that could promote collaborative science, mentoring, data access, be informed of putative collaborators who share common view of science and good practice, and how it should be conducted, to avoid or decrease the impact of powerful lobbies.

Agnès
Gruart

Professor or equivalent position at Pablo de Olavide University
Spain Website
Gender: Female
Fields of research : Behavioral neuroscience Cognitive neuroscience Motor systems neuroscience Neural/synaptic structure and function , Analysis of behavior and cognition in non-human animal Data analysis and statistics Electrophysiology (slow waves) Electrophysiology (synaptic physiology) Electrophysiology (unit activity) In vivo monitoring
Reason of joining Alba Network :
In order to achieve equality among all researchers (and in society, in general), it is necessary to create structures and networks that serve as support, to identify problems and, above all, to seek solutions. Collective actions such as those that Alba intends to carry out are the best strategy.
