I learned about the ALBA network at the FENS meetings and admire their hard work in promoting diversity and form a supportive community. In my own career path I experienced good mentorship, but observed also less favorable examples. For my own lab, my goal is to providing a team-oriented and inclusive environment as well. To further develop this, I enjoy to exchange thoughts and experiences with researchers coming from different backgrounds.

I am joining ALBA Network because I strongly support ALBA mission in promoting EDI in neuroscience.

I think that the principles of diversity, equal chances, transparency and inclusion are fundamental to a safe creative space.

I'm interested to join Alba because it is a global network that represents individual neuroscientists across the globe. I want to part of a network that aims to promote equity and diversity in brain sciences, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities to promote academic and/or research careers.

To be part of an inclusive international network, increasing my opportunities for collaboration and to integrate inclusive practices in my own career.

I would like to actively contribute in creating a more diverse and inclusive field of Neuroscience.

I wholeheartedly support ALBA's mission to promote diversity within the brain sciences. As a new lab head I would like to join a network which provides opportunities to support initiatives for diversity awareness and more inclusive mentorship.

The mission of ALBA is what I believe should be promoted. And this is true not only in the neuroscience field but society in general.

I am a Sikh neuroscientist working in Europe. Sikh scientists in the western world face numerous challenges due to their underrepresented status. These challenges range from a lack of representation, biases and stereotypes, the struggle to balance their religious and professional identities, and limited access to resources and networks. Addressing these challenges requires a collective effort from scientific communities, policymakers, and society as a whole to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all scientists, regardless of their background. Thus, ALBA network can provide such platform for many such underreprented groups. By becoming part of this network, not only I could represent myself better but also help other underrepresented brain scientists accross globe.

To be a part of network supporting diversity and equity in scientific community.

I am joining Alba because I strongly support organizations that promote equal rights and opportunities, along with celebrating diversity. The scientific community still has to address the issues of underrepresented groups and I see the ALBA network as a community that will be open for dialogue and foster a supporting and collaborative working environment for all participants.

I met with Representatives of the ALBA Network at a Conference and was thrilled to hear about all the interesting events and opportunities granted by the ALBA Network.

Definitely a topic ALBA is working on which needs further support. And I hope to can contribute with my support.
