ALBA represents a global diverse network of individual neuroscientists who are involved in research, education, communication and advocacy, and are committed to supporting and advocating for actions and policies that foster diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in brain sciences across the globe. We currently have 1890 individual members from 91 countries.

I joined ALBA because :
I would like to join the ALBA community because I think it is important to interact with people who have the same goals about science and diversity. I just started my independent laboratory and I think it is crucial that my students also have access to such a collaborative network.

I joined ALBA because :
Because I belong to underrepresented groups, family with low income, woman, LGBTQIA+ community, chronic illness and neurodivergent. Unfortunately, I have experienced social and work exclusion, which has limited my academic opportunities, for example, support from my tutors to be able to apply for international internship scholarships.
