I am joining ALBA Network because I strongly support ALBA mission in promoting EDI in neuroscience.

To be a part of network supporting diversity and equity in scientific community.

I am joining Alba because I strongly support organizations that promote equal rights and opportunities, along with celebrating diversity. The scientific community still has to address the issues of underrepresented groups and I see the ALBA network as a community that will be open for dialogue and foster a supporting and collaborative working environment for all participants.

By promoting equity and diversity within the ALBA network I would like to help increase the number of female scientists and scientists from minority communities in the brain sciences.

As a scientist, I have an ongoing interest in getting more involved with the scientific and research community at the International level, and communicating science and education across different countries. Some of this stems from my fluency in multiple languages (English, Arabic and French), having heritage and routes not only in the USA but also in Europe and the Middle East. This allowed me to have the ability to communicate with people of all backgrounds and levels of knowledge, which is also evidenced by my outreach activities in the community and my interactions with donors, students, other scientists and the general public. My interests in joining the ALBA network are to bring science to a wider audience around the globe and to engage new research and education paradigms that cut across cultural barriers.

As an organizer of workshops and conferences and a future PhD candidate, I see ALBA network as a valuable tool and assistant in connecting with eminent neuroscientists

I strongly support equity, diversity and accessability. As a neuroscientist, I hope to contribute positively to the Alba network aims and activities.

I joined Alba because I believe that diversity in neuroscience is important and that there is a long way to go before equality is achieved.

As a member of Alba Steering Committee, it is an honor to be part of the Alba's mission of incorporating diversity and ensuring equality in the brain sciences.

I joined ALBA to promote diversity and equity in the neuroscience community. I support ALBA's mission and would like to learn more about the various facets of diversity as well as promote awareness in the community.

I see science as a tool for increasing objectivity, as the quality of the experiment should be the only thing that decides one's success. However, this is often not the case. Therefore, anything bringing us closer to a more just system is worth investing time in.
