I joined ALBA because :
I have recently realized (by analysing the shocking ERC_Advanced Grants data) that my I was way off in believing that we had pretty much solved the issues of women in neuroscience. I have been naive and biased by my own good experiences in terms of both mentoring and representation. I would like to do something to help change the situation.

Other
Ecological momentary assessment
I joined ALBA because :
I noticed that there is not a lot of awareness for diversity and inclusion issues in the German academic system yet. Thus, I would like to join Alba to learn how to increase visibility of scientists that belong to under repsented groups in the German neuroscience community, to raise awareness for their struggles and obstacles, and to be a helpful ally.
